Ernie Rota and Ed Claffey spent 10 years working together as embalmers with dreams of owning their own business. They opened Claffey and Rota Funeral Home in February 1956.
When Ed died suddenly shortly after opening, Ernie continued their dream bringing on wife Eloise and son Bob Rota. “This business is really built on taking care of people and their families.” Ernie would always say.
Sadly, Bob, Eloise, and Ernie have all passed away, but the family tradition continues with Ernie and Eloise?s daughter Leslie Rota taking over and a third generation, Grandchild Suzanne Simas, keeping the family business running strong.
